Let’s Talk Bookish: 2023 Reading and Blogging Goals

Advertisements

Let’s Talk Bookish is a bookish meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @Book Nook Bits. Each Friday bloggers write posts discussing a bookish topic. You can see the topic schedule here.

It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in a Let’s Talk Bookish post! I’m excited to do some discussions and read other responses again! I’m a little late but that’s ok! I’m going to try to get on schedule. The prompt for Jan 6th was 2023 Reading and Blogging Goals.

What are your reading goals for 2023?

My goal is to keep reading regularly throughout the year. I don’t read a set amount of time every day but I will continue to try to do a little reading every day! Even if it’s only for 10 minutes. I want to continue looking for books with diverse authors and characters. I also want to read more non-fiction, sci fi, and maybe some horror. I get scared easily so it can be tough to find a horror book that I can handle.

Do you have a specific number of books, or particular genres you want to read?

I want to read at least 24 books this year. That was also my goal last year and I liked how manageable the number was. I ended up reading double that about in 2022 which was exciting but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. Sometimes I feel like being focused on numbers can take away some of the fun. And you never know what life will throw at you. With a full time job and a 3 year old, life can get chaotic.

What are your blogging goals for 2023? What do you want to do differently with blogging?

I would like to respond more to other blog post and talk more with other bloggers. Which is one reason why I sought out Let’s Talk Bookish again. I’m excited for the discussions with others. Maybe also do some more posts that are little more off the cuff. I need to do a cat phot post again with my cat!

Thanks for reading! I look forward to reading other responses!
