December 2022 Blog Post Round Up

My final post round up for the year! With being off for two weeks for the Christmas holiday, I had some free time to do more things that I enjoy. I did alot of reading, watching shows, and sewing. I also did some decluttering in my house and I’m hoping to keep it up. It has been alot easier to keep my house tidy. Usually during long holidays, I start to feel restless towards the end and am ready to get back to work. This is the first year that I actually didn’t want the holiday to end. I really enjoyed keeping house, cooking, and having more time with my family. I’ve been thinking more about trying to be able to afford working part time or being a stay at home mom. I enjoy my new job, which I started in June, but I am still struggling to juggle the fluctuating schedule and my daughter going to daycare.

We also went on a little vacation to visit Big Bend National Park and Alpine, TX. We only stayed for two nights and hope to spend more time in Big Bend to do some hiking either at the national park or in Alpine. At the national park, we did the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive and ended at the Santa Elena Canyon. We wanted to hike into the canyon but we ran out of time. Alpine is a really nice small town nestled in the Big Bend mountain area. We visited the some fun places including The Museum of the Big Bend, a nice park for a daughter to play, and an amazing local bookstore called Front Street Books.
