Movies and shows I’ve been binge watching

Hello, friends! I’ve been on Christmas break since last Friday and have been watching alot of different shows and movies. I have like no energy to watch anything during the school year (teaching is so draining 😩) so I’ve been making up for lost time. And alot of new stuff has been released this month so there’s been no shortage of things to watch!

The Witcher (Season 2)

I’m a big fan of The Witcher 3 game but have not played in a long time! It was such a great game. Watching this show is a nice way for me to revisit the world and lore from The Witcher. I liked this season better than the first. The storyline was more straightforward and didn’t jump around like in the first season. It wasn’t perfect but overall pretty good. Die hard fans of The Witcher might have other opinions lol.

Emily in Paris (Season 2)

I loved season 2 of Emily in Paris. It has the perfect amount of humor, style, and drama. It is so easy to watch and is entertaining. Even my husband likes watching it lol! I liked seeing more of Mindy and the cliffhanger on the end was so good but frustrating! My husband and I had fun discussing what we thought would happen in what we assume will be a 3rd season.

The Unforgivable

The Unforgivable movie really surprised me. I thought Sandra Bullock did an excellent job in this movie. There were alot of flashbacks in the movie that kind of threw me off. I was mostly fascinated by the main character’s experience of having to find her way back into society after being released from prison.

Dune

Confession: I have a little crush on Timothée Chalamet. I’ve been a fan since I saw him in Little Women and The King. So of course I had to watch this one. I’ve never seen the 1984 version or read the books, so this story was completely new to me. There was a nice mix of pacing in the movie and I really look forward to seeing the next installments. My only complaint was that the movie is 2.5 hours long and I had to split it up into two watch sessions. I just can’t sit through long movies anymore…

Chaos Walking

I had never heard of it before and my husband was the one that wanted to watch it. The beginning started off a bit rocky and it took a little while for me to buy into the story. But then once it started going, the adventure and adrenaline was entertaining. I liked the acting between Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

I think my favorite part of the new Venom movie was Venom’s humor. He had me laughing throughout the whole movie. The relationship between Venom and Eddie Brock was alot of fun to watch. I didn’t have much investment in the villains, Cletus Kasady/Carnage, and Shriek. I was mostly in it for the Eddie/Venom bromance.

Have you seen any of these new shows/movies? I’d love to hear what you thought!
