January was a good month for book purchases! I’m really excited to add these titles to my collection.
All of my books are purchased as e-books and they all are purchased through Amazon’s Kindle deals. I did a post earlier this month where I shared more about how I use Kindle deals to save money on buying books. You can read it here. Now on to the books! The links I share are not affiliated or sponsored. Just sharing some good bargains with my fellow readers!

Sabriel by Garth Nix (Book 1 of the Old Kingdom series)
Still on sale as of 1/29/21 for $1.99 on Amazon.
I actually read this book back when I was a teenager (which was about 15 years ago!). It was the first high fantasy that I read. I don’t remember much about it but I always feel nostalgic when I come across it. I’m curious to see what I experience reading it now.

A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters – Book 1 of The Cadfael Chronicles
Free with an Amazon Prime membership or $2.99 as of 1/29/21.
In my college days, I read this great medieval series called, Mistress of the Art of Death by Ariana Franklin and I’ve been looking for another medieval mystery series to get into ever since. I see the other books from the Cadfael Chronicles on sale all the time, so I figured I would give it a shot.

The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell (Book 1 of The Warlord Chronicles)
Still on sale on Amazon for $2.99 as of 1/30/21.
I read Bernard Cornwell’s The Last Kingdom and loved hit! You can read my review here. His battle scenes in The Last Kingdom were the best! I was so excited so see this book on sale and bought it immediately. I’m interested to read his take on the King Arthur legend.

Bless Me Ultima – By Rudolfo Anaya
I remember having to read this book back in school but I don’t remember anything about it. And since it’s a classic in literature, I decided to add it to my collection. I just love the cover!

His & Hers by Alice Feeny
All I can say is that I just this book by it’s cover. I’ve been in a thriller mood lately. It got some good reviews on Goodreads so I hope it’s good!

Mythos by Stephen Fry
Who doesn’t love some Greek mythology? I’m interested to see Stephen Fry’s take on these myths.

Surprise Me – Sophie Kinsella
I still haven’t read a Sophie Kinsella novel and decided to take the plunge. I like that the main characters are a married couple trying to add some spark into their marriage.

The Glamourist – Luanne G. Smith (Book 2 of the Vine Witch series)
The first book, The Vine Witch is still on my TBR shelf. I was entranced by the cover and love stories that takes place in Paris.
Oh great haul! I’d love to read Mythos.
Thanks! I usually prefer to listen to those kinds of books, so we’ll see if I can get through it.
